William Kirby
Bill Kirby is an artist, documentary photographer and teacher with
a passion for the city of Chicago, revering the heritage, history
and distinct character of the Windy City. A longtime resident of
Chicago, Bill is a photography teacher at Columbia College of
Chicago and College of Lake County at Grays Lake. He has an M.F.A.
from the Rhode Island School of Design and has been a darkroom
technician for museums and photographers for the past 20 years.
Bill has created cartoon characters (such as "Otto" and "Buzz
Razzmadore") since childhood and was a full-time staff photographer
in the Chicago 2000 photography project.
