Intermediate Digital Photography is a highly technical and
detailed class that thoroughly examines the specifics of how a
digital camera works and how to get precise exposure and color
rendition. For this class, your camera must be a DSLR (digital
single lens reflex) with interchangeable lens and must have the
ability to store images in RAW format.
You'll embark upon a scientific journey of discovery, testing and
examining how to harness the precision of a digital camera in the
creative process. You'll also learn some advanced digital editing
techniques that allow you to polish and enhance your photos to
achieve your desired results. There is a three part lighting
assignment that introduces students to the five different
qualities of light and shadow. Intermediate Photography may
also include guest lectures in addition to the regular
curriculum.
This class includes a weekly lab beginning the first week, so
students should be prepared to attend CPC twice each week.
Students will print on Epson Premium Luster paper.
