This workshop introduces you the basics of image transfer techniques, starting with the wet transfer. You'll also learn about emulsion transfers onto different materials, including handmade paper, canvas and wood.
You'll make at least one transfer of each type using your own properly exposed slides or by experimenting with slides that we have available. Not to worry – your slides won't be damaged or altered in the process. We'll also discuss options for the presentation of your finished piece..
All equipment and materials you need for the process will be provided. Just bring your imagination – the possibilities are endless!
You might also consider signing up for the Image Transfer Play Time the following Saturday. You'll already know the technique; the play time allows you to do just that: play with your slides to focus on applying what you've learned.
Items to bring:
- 5 properly exposed slides (hopefully ones that you like!). We'll have slides to use if you do not have any yet.
