Opening Reception: Friday, April 30, 2010 from 7 - 10 PM
Exhibit dates: April 30 - May 31, 2010
Want to thank your Alderman for a job well done in your Ward? Or
do you want to bring a concern to the attention of your Alderman?
Bring a picture of it, post it on our Ward Wall, fill out a form
(this is Chicago after all!) and CPC will see that your Alderman
gets your note of thanks or your note of concern.
Enjoy a fun evening viewing the portraits of Chicago's 50
Aldermen, meet the artists, sip some wine and before you leave
have your picture taken with an Alderman!

Susan Aurinko Exhibit: March 5 -
April 16, 2010
In this exhibit, Aurinko combines images from two bodies of work, Les Reflets and La Poesie Des Affiches. In Les Reflets the images explore Aurinko's fascination with the artificial beauty and frozen perfection of mannequins and captured faces that inhabit store windows and gaze from billboards and advertisements. La Poesie Des Affiches is a continuation of graffiti-based work begun in Madrid, New York and Paris years ago. Aurinko examines the layering of signage that appears in large cities, often plastered over "post no bills" signs, in languages that mirror the culture of a country.
Our Variety
CPC sponsors a variety of events to showcase the work of our students and guest artists. Most of our events are complimentary and open to the public. Our Annual Calendar includes:
· Sunday Opening Receptions for most shows
· Special “First Glimpse” sneak preview parties for student shows (tickets required)
· Student Exhibits in our Gallery
· Satellite Class Shows featuring work by students in outreach classes
· Guest Artist Exhibits
Check out more on our exhibits, including those at other Chicago-area establishments.
We are continuously creating relationships with new spaces, so please contact events@chicagophoto.org if you have an idea for hosting a CPC event.
Watch this space for a new series of lectures and salons coming soon.
