Wine & Critique – monthly peer critique and contest
Wine and Critique Guidelines:
The monthly W&C gathering is scheduled for 7:00PM to 9:30PM on the 3rd Friday of each month at the CPC: 621 W. Belmont, just west of Broadway.
We will do our best to get through all the images submitted for critiquing so please have patience. If we do not get to your work, you will be first in line for the following month.
Bring no more than three images. Prints preferred, no larger than 11″ X 14″ and can be mounted or matted. NO frames please.
If you bring image files bring them on a Flash Drive (no hard drives) and no larger than 1MB.
No watermarks or logos on your image(s).
To enter the contest, submit one image no larger than 1mb to the designated dropbox site (see below). Images should be submitted anonymously with No watermarks or logos.
Winning photographer agrees to allow Chicago Photography Center (CPC) to post the Wine and Critique winning image to wherever it deems appropriate to promote the CPC and current and future contests. Photographer will receive acknowledgment and retains all ownership and copyright to their image.
Entries will be judged both on photographic excellence and on how well your photo promotes CPC’s Wine & Critique event held on the 3rd Friday of each month. The chosen entry will be used for Wine & Critique promotional purposes in emails, Facebook, Snapshot and on the CPC website. The winning entry will be displayed at CPC. Only images where the photographer is in attendance are eligible for prizes. Filenames should include your name and image date. ie 20140422-ASmith-1.jpg. Photographer will be credited in promotional materials. Free one (1) year CPC membership or membership renewal. A bottle of special CPC labeled wine.
Media: Color digital photography. Please submit your low res images to CPC’s Dropbox site at www.dropbox.com. Log in: firstname.lastname@example.org Password: CPCW&C. Add your photo to the folder for the month you are submitting. One image per entrant.
Deadline: Entries must be received by 12:00 Noon, on the Friday of the next scheduled Wine & Critique. The winner will be announced that evening.
Submission of an entry to this exhibition constitutes agreement on the part of the entrant to the conditions stated above.
