Fundamentals of Studio Portrait Lighting

During this seven-week long educational journey on Fundamentals of Portrait Lighting, you will learn how to see the light, how to measure, and how to position different light sources. You will learn about different light modifiers, how and why to choose different modifiers for different looks. During Week 6, students will be go on a short photo-walk where you will learn different techniques on balancing and mixing available light and strobe lighting on location, how to use gels and much more. This is a completely hands-on training and most beneficial to beginner – intermediate level focused on helping you understand the basics, giving you a solid foundation on lighting.

Class times: Wednesdays from 7:00-10:00pm for 7 weeks      Cost: $385

Suggested Prerequisite: Fundamentals of Digital Photography or Fundamentals of Film Photography
