The Chicago Photography Center is a community bound together by its love of photography. This community is more than students, volunteers, guest artists, board and staff. Creators of images rely upon the existence of viewers, an essential part of our community.
At CPC, we are committed to providing venues for photographers to display their work to the public. The first floor of CPC includes a light-filled gallery, which is open daily and visible to passersby on Lincoln Avenue. CPC’s movable exhibit walls rotate work by students, established photographers and other artists throughout the year. The gallery hosts:
- Several shows consisting of work by advanced CPC students
- A show of work by students participating in CPC’s off-site community partnership programs
- Shows by invited guest artists
