The Chicago Photography Center presents “See What You Missed”, a photography exhibit of current work by the former Sun-Times photographers. This exhibit features the work of Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist John H. White, and his colleagues who were recently fired by the Chicago Sun-Times.
The opening is Sunday, July 14, 2013, from 1:00 to 3:00pm, at the Chicago Photography Center, 3301 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago. The exhibit will run through July 28.
The exhibit is curated by Charles Osgood and José Moré, former photojournalists at the Chicago Tribune. Osgood teaches photojournalism at the Chicago Photography Center and Moré has exhibited his recent work in Cambodia at CPC.
Karen Egerer, president of the Board of Directors at the Chicago Photography Center said, “We are honored to have this distinguished group of photojournalists exhibit their current and continuing work at CPC.”
As White stated after the firing, “Everybody is asking for the same thing,” he said. “We want to be able to spread our wings and fly, do your thing in life and respect for what you do.”
